We regret to inform you that Stogursey C of E Primary School has had to close due to positive COVID-19 cases amongst the school community. School will not re-open until the September 2021 term.

Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is given as additional funding from the Government to school for all pupils entitled to Free School meals because it has been shown that sometimes these children don't do as well at school. The reasons for this are many and varied and our school works with families to address all learning disadvantages. If your child receives free school meals, they will be entitled to pupil premium for a minimum of 6 years. This year (2021/22) the total pupil premium received is £18,145.

If you think you may be eligible please see Mr Tucker or ask at the office.

There are a variety of ways this money is spent.

  • Employing a part-time 'Recovery Teacher' to provide targeted support to Pupil Premium children.
  • Support groups - e.g. Spellings, handwriting, maths, coordination
  • Facilitating accelerated progress so children close gaps
  • Individual support work, including emotional literacy work with children
  • Subsidised trips/clubs/ residential visits
  • Supporting whole class music including violin tuition
  • Creating a language-rich environment
  • Engaging curriculum- including fun practicals and outdoor learning
  • Providing essential kit and uniform for those who might need it.
