Today you will be news reporters writing an article about a terrible crime committed last night (this is just pretend of course). Think back to the picture you drew of your garden yesterday (or favourite green space) covered in plastic waste - it wasn't pleasant but at least it wasn't real! Phew!
Well, I want you to imagine that, overnight, a crafty couple have been up to no good... they have pottered around Stogursey, Stolford, Burton, Bridgwater and even Holford (and any other places we live) making a HUGE mess of people's gardens! How cruel! The mean pair have caused upset and chaos by throwing plastic bottes, crisp wrappers and all sorts of other plastic waste in your gardens!
Now, you guys need to get your reporting hats on - think back to the videos your watched. How can you make your story stand out? You need to tell the world about what's happened and you want them caught! Luckily you have CCTV footage of the naughty pair in action!
Have a look at my example news report below (I'm sure you can make one much more exciting than mine). Watch the video (below - scroll down) for more details and take a look at the criteria to help you lay out and write your newspaper report. Good luck catching them!
P.S. I apologise for being a little loud at the end of the first video - I was about to be interrupted and tried to raise my voice to let people know I was recording - it didn't work so I had to end the video and being again with a second one. OOopsy! I hope it's okay for you all and you enjoy the task - have fun! I look forward to seeing your newspaper reports.
