COVID Pandemic Recovery Premium

The COVID Recovery Premium is given as additional funding from the Government to schools to supplement the Pupil Premium and provide extra funding for these children as they are deemed likely to have been disadvantaged by the COVID19 pandemic and the resulting partial closures of schools. This year (2021/22) the total Recovery Premium received is unknown and we await the amount to be awarded.

Having trialled small group tutoring last year, we decided that as well as being based on evidence and seeing the results for ourselves, we would scale this up using this premium as well as general school funds.  We see the benefit in closing the gaps enabling disadvantaged children to make accelerated progress and this is our rationale for such a decision.
Below is our draft version of the strategy document outlining our plans for this spending.
