Amber measures set out

Dear parents/ carers

We would like to set out a summary of the enhanced measures we are putting into place from tomorrow. This will be reviewed in 2 weeks' time.
If you think back to last year and the measures we had in place (staggered starts/ ends, designated toilets, lunches in classrooms, bubbles within the school site, virtual assemblies), this is what we are returning to. This is in line with the advice given to us by Public Health England since going into amber category.
Within the school, we have started to put these measures in place now but here is a summary of new changes in place from tomorrow:

-Safe queueing system outside of school to enter and exit the site safely.
-Staggered starts and ends A-L surnames from 8.45-8.55, 3.20-3.30 and M-Z surnames from 8.55-9.05, 3.30-3.40. Pre-school hours will remain unaffected by this and be 8.50-3.20 as normal for all children.
-Each class (including the Pre-school) will 'bubble' for lessons and playtimes.
-Day cleaner working to provide enhanced cleaning.
-Hot dinners will be delivered to classes and this will continue
-Crossover of staff into bubbles can only happen if covering other staff or in emergencies. All assemblies to move online.
-Non-essential visitors are forbidden to enter the building.
-No trips for the time being.
-No after-school/ breakfast clubs for the time being.
-Tutoring is to continue but ends every day at 4pm. Please collect children from the front office as normal and distance outside in the car park.
-No volunteers to come into the building.
-Staff/ governor meetings are now to be moved online.

This is also on top of the measures put in place before Christmas. These have continued (face masks in communal areas for adults, regular handwashing etc)

Please do get in touch if you have any questions.
