Thank you to everyone who took part in this on Friday. From FOSS for organising refreshments to Alice from Halsway Manor for arranging it all with teachers, Miss Dunwood for the beautiful flower arrangements, Teresa Miller, our co-Chair of Governors for mustering up support from the village and for providing History posters about Stogursey.
A special thank you to the children for taking part and for the attendees of the Forget-Me-Not Cafe who came along to talk about their memories with the children all over a cup of tea and sandwiches.
It was lovely to chat to residents of the village who remembered what the school looked like 50 years ago and for some it was a real treat to come in and see how the school has changed over time as well as sharing their memories with the children.
Thank you to Emma and Michaela who read the children stories whilst they were waiting for their turn to talk to villagers.
It was delightful and the first of many engaging community events that will unfold over time.
