As you almost certainly know by now, all UK schools are closing from end of day today. Stogursey Primary School will be closed from 3.30pm today and we aren't sure when it will reopen. It will remain open to children deemed vulnerable and to children of 'Key Workers'. The school will be run by a very small team and we are also investigating the possibility of remaining open to these children during the Easter Holidays.
In the meantime, at 3pm today after Collective Worship, FOSS will be distributing Learning Packs and an Easter Egg to each child. My personal thanks goes to the FOSS parents who have worked tirelessly for the last couple of days putting work together for you all to do at home together. When we eventually return to school, we would like your child to bring their work back in. It is a very unusual thing to do but it is great to see the community pulling together to make this a reality.
My thanks also goes to the governors who have stepped in to make sure the school has run as normal whilst staff have been away self-isolating. It has been a very challenging week for all Heads across the country and I never thought I would be doing this in my first year of Headship!
If you have any questions about learning, then our website has useful information on it, or alternatively contact us at the school. Please bear in mind that it will be a minimal staff here to ensure that children who have to be here are still getting their education.
Please keep an eye on the website, Facebook page, emails and YouTube Channel as we attempt to keep up spirits during this period of isolation for us all!
Thank you for your support.
