We hope you have had a lovely break and enjoyed the fun packs which were distributed at the beginning of the holiday.
As we move forward there will be some changes for a few pupils but, for others, home learning will remain similar with only minor changes to English sessions which I will outline below.
If you are in the priority group and in school every day, your work packs will remain in school for you to complete.
If you are home schooling we suggest that you do an hour of English, an hour of Maths a day and then an hour of either: a non-core activity from Bitesize, an optional activity from those listed below (scroll down to optional activities) or practical outdoor learning.
Some of the activities children have been sharing with us on the Facebook page give you some ideas on what you could do.
Your child will receive a Talk for Writing activity booklet. This will contain a text for your child to read with you as well as a series of related comprehension, grammar and writing activities. You will need to check your child's class page below to see which activity you are expected to complete each day.
Any work can be completed in the booklet or on separate paper and returned to your child's teacher once completed.
If your child is in the priority group they will complete their pack in school where it will remain.
Please use the videos and worksheets in the links below - WHITE ROSE MATHS.
The White Rose has been sequenced to prepare your children for next year. Please keep up to date with your sessions. In your packs are worksheets which are linked to each video lesson.
1. Watch video lesson 2. Complete worksheet 3. Mark your work
BBC Bitesize- There are lessons for History, Geography, Wellbeing, Science and Music on there at the moment. Please don't do any of the tasks that involve printing: just do online activities and anything that can be done on paper. To access Bitesize, it is online here as well as on TV. This work is for Years 1-6 only. Reception children have a separate set of work at the bottom of this page.
Other topics - Miss Day has added some optional science and humanities sessions below. They are video sessions which involve no printing.
Miss Atwell has set some P.E activities which you could complete each day. These are at the bottom of this page.
So to recap the compulsory work that will be collected in two weeks' time...
Please ensure in addition to this, your child is reading using the resources Miss May outlined and practising Times Tables on TT Rockstars (if applicable).
It would be wonderful if you could show examples of children's work done at home on the School Facebook Page. If you haven't already 'liked' our page, please do so you can see what others are up to.
